The masked man, the myth of the superhero, is being lived out by citizens and amazing human beings. As we enter a time where supers walk through mundane cities and myths become reality, Timid Pirate is thrilled to announce that we will be publishing a superhero anthology. Working with Aaron Dietz as part of his 12 in 12 project, and Charlie Potter as artist, this anthology will include non-fiction and fiction superhero tales.

Got a story, real or fictional? Fiction and nonfiction submissions about superheroes are welcome, and we are accepting submissions right now. Submit stories less than 2000 words to [email protected] asWord documents anytime before March 31st. If you have a longer story, submit that too–we’ll get back to you about editing.

Real life superheroes, you can submit your finest/most exciting/most hilarious/most interesting blogs, notes, or Facebook updates. Just send them to: [email protected]

All net proceeds will go to the Foundation for Sustainable Development.

I got my first red pen at the age of nine, editing for a neighbor's grant publications. Little did she know she'd created a professional nitpicker, someone who would later mark up paperbacks and mail them to the publisher with tsk-tsk notes. Making stories better makes me happy.
